I am looking at getting alternative products available to our sales rep during ATP.
These products are typically a size larger for the same Grade or the same size material but on a better quality Grade.
I have tried to do this by adding a Network (Type 1) Product Substitution procedure. With Entries like below:
Product Substitute-Product
A B
A C
A D
B C
B D
C D
D E
This works great for the input material “A”. The ATP returns “A”, “B”, “C” and “D” for each Location substitution.
The issue occurs when I ATP material “B”. The ATP returns “B”, “C”, “D” and “A”.I do NOT want “A” returned since it would be a downgrade for “B”.
I would like just products from the Substitute-Products column returned. My "Rule controls" are “Start at the Top of the list” with “InpProd1st” and no restrictions and the Combinations are "Union". I have added some examples and details in the attached file.
Anyone know how to only show the Substitute-Product for in input product only? Thanks for any information or suggestions!
Hi Tim,
If you want sequential substitution why are you not using chain (0).
Thanks, Nikhil
