Exception Creating Catalog in Fiori Launchpad Designer

Former Member

Hi,

We just recently finished configuring/activating Gateway, services...

We are now able to open Fiori Launchpad Designer.

Our current SAPUI5 Version as per: /sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5/index.html

is: Version:1.34 (1.34.2)

Component    SAP_GWFND - Support Package    SAPK-74013INSAPGWFND

Component    SAP_UI - Support Package    SAPK-75002INSAPUI

We have created a New Launchpad in LPD_CUST and added 1 custom HelloWorld New Application into it.

We have assigned a Workbench Transport Request in: /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html?scope=CONF

When creating a new Catalog, our first catalog, it fails with the error message:

An exception was raised.

Object WDCC 89D81CC371A17596FE55D797E8559C9007 cannot be assigned to package /WSV/FIORI

ID: /UI2/CX_WD_CFG_TOOL

An exception was raised

ID: /UI2/CX_RUNTIME

An exception was raised

ID: /IWBEP/CX_MGW_TECH_EXCEPTION

We checked: the target of our transport request and that of our package is the same.

Any ideas what might be causing this error?

Can it also be that it is caused by some misconfiguration in the newly created Launchpad and the 1 new application added to it in LPD_CUST?

Does somebody have an overview of all the roles/authorizations which are necessary and sufficient to be able to create a catalog in the fiori launchpad designer?

Is there a way to track down the reason for this error?

Let me know what additional information you need to be able to help.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

David

Hi Masa,

after installing the SAP Notes for the component: SAP_UI SAPK-75002INSAPUI

but not the notes which are upgrading the SAPUI5 library, the problem was not solved.

Then after installing SAP Notes for the component: SAP_GWFND SAPK-74013INSAPGWFND

"please make sure that all the (for your SP) relevant notes from the solution section of KBA 2251801 and note 2256525 are implemented"

the problem is solved now.

So we are still on v1.34 (1.34.2).

We can now see all the catalogs, and when we create a new catalog, now the popup is closed and doesn't stay opened, which is the correct expected behavior.

Thanks.

Regards,

David
