Hello Savitha,

Kindly check whether the analytic privilege is properly created. Analytic privilege needs to be activated properly in order to use it.

I would also suggest you to check whether all the required privileges are in place with necessary authorizations.

• Package Privilege with Root (if you want to give full access) and REPO.READ
• PUBLIC role
• System privilege - Catalog Read
• Execute + Select access on _SYS_BI
• Execute + Select access on _SYS_BIC
• Select on the <schema> with grantable checkbox enabled
• This authorization is required for _SYS_REPO
• Execute on REPOSITORY_REST if the user is expected to search inside studio.

As I am new to this HANA security, request you to explain on all the below mentioned points which will be very useful for me to proceed further

Hi savitha,

can you please check the properties of view which you are creating there you have option of "APPLY PRIVILEGE" set it as "ANALYTICAL PRIVILEGES".

Is your analytic privilege activated successfully?what do you mean by not getting reflected, Is the data not getting restricted as defined in analytic privilege or ?

Can you please elaborate a little?

Hi Shireesha,

Yes, AP is activated successfully now.

When a view was checked for where used list, the Analytic privilege updated with the particular view didnt show up, later when it was tested using test id we were able to find the change.

so issue is resolved.
