PI Standalone Single Stack Limitations

Hi All

A client of ours has decided not to go ahead with PO but rather install just the standalone PI component.

If we were to go single java stack installation would we be able to do any ccBPM scenarios? I know that ccBPM was moved to NW BPM in PO.

I would just like to confirm that we'd need to do a dual stack installation in order to do ccBPM and that the single Java stack install does not offer this.

Thanks

Riaz

Hello Riaz,

Single stack doesn;t support CCBPM.you require dual stack for that.

Check the below links

Hi Raghuraman

Are there any other limitations with adapters like the ones which used to exist on the ABAP stack? Will these be available to use on the single java stack?

They will be installing PI 7.5, is there any difference in the functionality provided as opposed to PI 7.3?

Thanks

Riaz

Adapters are advanced so not seen any limitations.

coming to Proxy you need to configure Soap adapter with XI 3.0 protocol.

And you can refer those links for more details Riaz.

Hi Riaz,

As Raghuraman said there is not important limitations at adapter, http and idoc are available in single stack like http_aae and idoc_aae. Idoc_aae has a few limitations against the abap one, but SAP is improving this feature: Comparison of IDoc Adapter (IE) and IDoc Adapter (AAE) - SAP NetWeaver Process Integration - SAP Lib...
