Hi All,
What are the advantages of using dimensions in SAP B1. Can we use as a multiple entities as setting up as dimensions. Can someone guide me please.
We are using SAP b1 9.1 PL:08
Hi Kalika,
Dimensions configured in the system provide customers with multiple views of an expense and revenue analysis.
Authorization is required for viewing and defining dimensions.
To define dimensions, choose: Financials > Cost Accounting > Dimensions.
Note: This window appears only after you select the Use Multidimensions checkbox on the Cost Accounting tab of the General Settings window under: Administration > System Initialization > General Settings.
For more details you can find the below vedio for your reference.

If the entities are separate legal entities I would always advocate a separate database, otherwise you have the Branch or dimension options
