Need suggestion : FTPS using Implicit Port

Dear friends,

I need to connect to FTPS server from SAP PI 7.4.  I tested the server connection via File Zilla and found successful connection via below parameters.

Port : 990

Encryption  :  Require implicit FTP over TSL

A pop-up appeared with certificate and connection was successful.

My assumption was by deploying this certificate in NWA and reading the auth in CC, I could establish a connection.

But I read few threads saying the Implicit port 990 is not supported by PI.  Could, please someone suggest how to proceed this kind of situation. How can I establish the connection from SAP PI. Should  we recommend any changes on the vendor site ?

Hari,

Implicit FTPS is not supported by PI. Please check SAP note: http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1554886 for the same.

What this means is : You would need to ask your FTPS server admin to switch from implicit to explicit FTPS.

In terms of a workaround, the only option would be to write custom scripts or custom java code for the same which is strongly not recommended.
