I am intereseted if anybody tried to use LVM in order to un-rac a Oracle DB, so in my scenario I will start with a clustered DB but want to perform the copy to a box that will be in the end a non-rac Oracle DB.
as far as I know LVM doesn't support this scenario out of the box. However, we managed exactly this using the LVM custom provisioning scenario and ORALVM (see note 2163827).
