Restriction access to attachements

Dear experts,

I wonder if it is possible to restrict access to attachments of accounts / activities / opportunities for some users? I found AttachmentFolder BO but it seems to be only for custom BOs.

Hello Maurin,

Apart from what is mentioned by Fred, you can also make this changes in the Attachment facet using KUT and assign this layout changes to the Business Role for which you want to restrict the access. So say if you want to hide this for any specific role, just hide it using KUT and assign this changes to that particular Role.

Thanks to both of you for your quick answers. Your solutions works. However I misspoke. I wish only restrict few attachments to few users on the same account or if it is not possible restrict attachements according to a custom attribute of attachments which has values public/private. If it's public, users can click on it and if it's not, users can't.

Hi Maurin,

You can control the visibility of Attachments tap using UI Switch with PDI development.

1. Create a UI Switch in the studio

2. Assign the visibility property of Attachments tap with the UI Switch

3. Assign the UI Switch to a business role on browser.

4. Assign the business role to the user whom you want to restrict.
