Hide web intelligence icon in launch pad

Hi everyone,

I want a particular user group not to see the web intelligence icon in launch pad in the my applications section. But I want this group to be able to open reports on launch pad NOT through the java applet.

I tried denying rights to "Log on web intelligence" and the icon is hidden but then the users can't open reports on launch pad.

What can I do please?

I think its not possible to Hide Web intelligence link in the Launchpad,

However you can deny "Documents - enable Creation" rights under cmc-> Application Web Intelligence for that user group.

By this they will see the link but wont be able to create WEBI report  but can view them.

Thanks Ritesh, no it's not possible but read-only rights users won't be able to create new reports in this way and I'm fine with it.

Hi,

you can set the visibility for the web intelligence icon under

CMC --> Applications --> Web Intelligence --> User Security -->

Everyone                                   --> No View

Your particular user group        --> No View

Everyone else (Groups, etc)     --> View / etc.
