IBPF --- BPF Task --- URL to access ERP data thru External Resource!

Dear All,

In IBPF, I understand that the master data at the ERP side can be accessed thru' HTTP URL. This can be created as a BPF task at BPC end(as an External Resource task).

Normally, we access the ERP data thru SAP GUI, outside BPC.

Within IBPF, What is this URL about? Does that mean that, at ERP side, web server component has to be installed? And, access to master data needs to be exposed thru' URL? I believe, authentication/authorization has to be managed at ERP side. Can some one pls. elaborate on the ERP data access

thru' URL part?

Hi Peri,

In IBPF SAP Provided the Master data and Transaction Data (Exp: Cost Center Planning - KP06) by using web dynpo.

you don't required install anything, But you have to activate the URL.

Go to Transaction: SICF

Hierarchy type: SERVICE

Service Name: FCOM_IP_CC_COSTELEM01

then execute

First step you have to activate and click on the Test Service.

System will populate the URL for KP06 Upload.

The above steps for KP06 Example, similarly you have to activate the Master data services as well.

Hope this will help you understand the process of activation of URL.

Generally FICO people don't do this step.
