BW on HANA Query

Hello, i need some help in creating composite infoprovider. I am on 7.4 but when i right click on info area i am unable to find an option to create composite provider. I see an option to create dso, infocube etc but not composite. How do i create one? Please help me

Hi Sunil,

You can Create Local Composite Provider under Transaction RSLIMOBW.

Or You can use BW Modelling Tools to create HANA Composite Provider.

Thanks Nikhil, in the note it says to download bwmt but when i go to software download. I cant find it under b or s or h. How do i download that package please?

Hi Sunil,

Please follow the steps as given in the note:

3. BW Modeling Tools

Now install the latest version of the BW Modeling Tools.

The BW Modeling tools can be downloaded from the Service Marketplace as below.
  --> Go to https://support.sap.com/software/patches.html
  --> Search with its technical name " SAP BW MODELING TOOLS"
  --> Download the package and install it through Help --> Install New Software.
  --> Install all the features.

which clearly explains how to install step by step.

Hi,

form BW 7.4 SP8 onwords you can create the composite provider on sap BW modeling tools using eclipse environment.

but you can not create the composite provider in SAP GUI - RSA1.

after creating the composite provider using BW modeling toll you can refresh GUI screen you will find the composite provider.

we can design the models in eclipse environment , you create the transformation and dtp's in SAP GUI environment.
