Plan costs of Maintenance order considering as Actual overall in WBS

Former Member

Hello Gurus,

There is a plan costs posted in maintenance order and the same value is considering Actual overall in WBS element as WBS element is assigned in maintenance order and WBS element budget is considering the planned values of the order and not allowing to post further costs to that WBS element. Can you please help me to understand why the planned costs of order are considered as an actual cost in WBS elements.

Regards

Kiran

Hello Kiran,

You need to learn more about the logic of budget availability control.

Depending on your settings it can be a standard behavior.  It is a second check mark in the OPSV settings.

System considers the maximum value between actual + commitment and planned cost for Released orders (networks) as a "commitment" (remaining plan = order request) to be accounted for within budget availability control.

You can take a look at budget control analysis report in CJ30 to see line items that will include a plan cost on your PM order.

Regards,

Paulo
