Performance is poor during uploading master data with server group and parallel processing mechanism

Hi All,

We have created 2 Server Groups(order_1 & Order_2) in RZ12 and assigned 2 servers one CI and one App.

The data upload happening very slow and system performance is also poor.

How to improve the performance & data load.

Hi Karthik,

Can you identify which part of the process is slow? Is CPU usage high on the app server or the DB? Is the I/O usage on the DB high? Are you running out of work processes or are the queues filling up (this can be checked in SM51)? Is it taking a long time to process locks?

If you are on Oracle, make sure you are updating stats.

1. Try to execute the data load on app server not on CI. during the load over all load in CI & App server?

2. Could you share the OS / DB & SAP version details?

DB : Sybase 16.01

SAP : Ehp7

Hi,

If you are on EHP7, then you have Netweaver 7.4.

Then if you have a CI, you need to separate the ENQUEUE instance from it.

Please analyze performance in st03n,smlg,sm50 ,st02 ,how many background work process is assign to each sap instance what is server sizing.

Many point you need to evaluate.
