Poor performance with great database tables

Hi

I'm working database tables with a lot of rows (more than 44 millium - MSEG) and i have found a great number of locks in this table, growing up the time of the processing. The functional process is configured accordingly SAP recommendations for our business process.

I'm tring to see another ways to reduce the time of the locks in the greatest database tables like this one.

Could someone help with solutions for the same problem?

The 'named cache area' for especific database table could be an alternative?

P.S.: We are using ASE 15.7.135

Hi Mauri,

can you please give more information about the table? DDL of the table, indexes and locking scheme (output of sp_help and sp_spaceused against it will help). if you can also post optdiag outputs.

do you also have the locking details? what is the blocking and blocked sessions executing?

Regards,

Bilal
