SAP HANA & BW

Hello,

I have two questions, please answer and guide me.

Question 1:

I have 10+ years in Business Objects reporting and DW, I am trying to get into SAP. I did research on SAP HANA and BW. My findings based on my search is "SAP HANA will be the future of BW and HANA has more and all features and functionalities of Netweaver 7.x BW."

Is it the right pathway for me to get into SAP HANA rather than BW?

Question 2:

As per C_HANAIMP151 exam prerequisite, based on my situation, I should complete the SAP Instructor Lead Training for HA100,HA300,HA360 and HA900 courses . If I do E-Learning courses - HA100E, HA300E, am I allowed to take Instructor Lead Training for HA360, HA900 and finally am I fulfill the requirement to take the exam C_HANAIMP151?

Hello Lahman,

From my perspective, SAP BW is not a pre-requisite to learn SAP HANA. But, knowledge in SAP BW and its objects will really help you learn HANA much faster. I understand that you have got experience working in BO and DW already hence it should not be a problem for you to go ahead with SAP HANA directly.

Question 2:

As per C_HANAIMP151 exam prerequisite, based on my situation, I should complete the SAP Instructor Lead Training for HA100,HA300,HA360 and HA900 courses . I don't think there will be an issue.

The main difference between Classroom and E-Learning based training is the delivery type (https://training.sap.com/shop/catalogue/by-delivery-method). In case of class room training you do have some more benefits like hard copy of the training materials, system access and more.

But still, I would strongly suggest that you should always reach out to SAP Education directly via the contact section which can be found at the bottom on the website https://training.sap.com/

You can also contact them via an email id based on the country:

education.india@sap.com

They will help you on your questions and also let you know about the procedures in the respective countries.

Good Luck.
