Search string not able to clear assignment field in EBS

Hi,

I have defined search string & configured target field as Assignment number. for testing I have posted one document and maintained 17 digit RTGS number in assignment field of document but when import bank statement system is picking 13 digit only hence the open item is not clearing.

Example:

Below characters are mapped in search string successfully as below screen. Mapped number is 52016031700557176 & the same number is maintained in assignment field in document posted.

:86:RTGS ICICR52016031700557176 FINECURE PHARMACEUT

But when I import the MT940 bank statement it's only considering 13 digits only. i.e. up to 5201603170055 instead of 52016031700557176 that means it's ignoring last 4 digits 7176 hence the system is not able to clear the open item with reference to assignment.

Please share your expertise on this

If you are implementing this functionality for Indian clinet, kindly refer to SAP note 2032814 which resolves your query for maintaining New RTGS/NEFT UTR number up to 22 characters.

Hi AJ,

Yes, it's Indian implementation only. But i have mapped it to assignment field and also maintained 17 digit number in the transaction. But based on search string it's only fetching the 13 digits though mapping done for 17 digits.
