Hi,

The field QPMK-MKMNR is 8-digit (alphanumeric field). This cannot be changed.

This field is an identification number for particular test parameter. You need to maintain the text (name) of the test in the description and log text fields within an MIC.

Using alphabates (A-Z) and numbers (0-9) you can have 2821109907456 combination for giving an identification of an MIC. i.e. you can create 2821109907456 MICs. I have still not considered the allowed special characters, otherwise the number would have been much more.

Hello

You can use field short text to provide a full description of the characteristic with the option of using long texts, so you should provide a name or ID in field master inspection characteristic and complete short text for the name you require.

hi,

you can codify your MIC's instead of Texting

for example

CNCL00001 - CN - country
                       C = caracteristics
                        L = Qualitative (T - incase of Quantitative)

                    00001- running serial numbers

I am assuming that you are talking about the field QPMK-MKMNR? This should be your ID field, right? So can you please tell why 8 digits are not enough? Do you have so many different MICs?
