Water as a material at 0 cost

Dear experts,

For a new manufacturing process, the business requirement is to have water created as a material at cero cost, with QM active (so quality inspections can be created) and to be able to issue it to a process order.

The ideal situation would be to create it as a PIPE material However, the system will require accounting views for this material type and a purchasing info record.

If this is created as a material at cero cost, the business would have to deal with virtual receipts and stock in order to be able to issue it to a process order.

One option could be to create it as a PIPE material, enter a flat cost of 0,01 if it is not relevant for you.

Possibilities:

Material masters with no cost option or with a no cost status defined (the no cost status can be defined by plant, look at MRP 1 vision);

Or No Cost in BOM

Or No Cost in ROT.
