Prevent New Batch Creation

Hello all,

Is there a method by which I can restrict users from creating new batch numbers while in the process of utilizing MIGO for material receipt, or for something akin to MB1B for the transfer of material?  We use a specific set of batches that are to be used and do not want to allow users to expand upon that selection.  Right now, the receiving batch field allows any entry desired.  (I have a batch named "POOP" right now...)

Hi,

I can see that you have a situation there (in a bracket ).

You can go to SPRO to Logistic General -> Batch Mngt -> Creation of new batches -> Define Batch Creation for Goods Movements

and select a different setting for a movement you use in MIGO / MB1B:

I would go with "no creation" which will force ppl to use batch that already exist. Also you can have some determination that will do it for the users.

Tomek
