Hello,
since some days my database studio does not start anymore. I get an error "Could not connect user" on startup.
The event log shows the attached exceptions.
I already uninstalled and reinstalled 64bit version 7.9.08.32
The problem persists!
What else can I do?
Regards,
Jens
Hi Jens,
Please check the java environment used as per SAP note 2213168.
best regards,
James

Hi James,
as always: Thanks very much!
The issue was not the java version, though. I had to delete the DatabaseStudio folder as of option 6 in the note 2213168.
The note describes how to retain the landscape data.
This did not work for me as I did not have a file .metadata . I only have a folder .metadata .
Do you know what I need to backup on Windows?
I'd also recommend to add the windows shortcut to the SDB folder which is:
%userprofile%\sdb\DatabaseStudio

Jens
Hi James,
yes, DB Studio is working fine again.
I added a new server node. And still there is no .metadata file.
I'm wondering where this information is stored?
Regards,
Jens
