Hi Krishna,

in most cases, there will be multiple instances: One for each hazard class. Labeling, as Christoph rightly pointed out, should have only one instance per validity area.

Dear Krishna

yes. It is possible that you have more than one data record per "validity" area (and/or VAT (GHS US). This is related to regulation. Check e.g. content (if you load content).

PS. For GHs LABELING TOPIC. IT is not possible. There should be only one data record per validfty area (in on VAT); this is not because of "technical" restriction but becuase of regulation/legislation and EHS data model

This is true for most countries that adopt GHS but not all - even for Labeling you can have multiple instances written by the rule sets!

Example:

For Korea GHS there are two instances in labeling with the same validity are (KR) but different Ratings PUBLIC and LABEL.

The one with LABEL has a reduced number of P Statements.

Kind Regards

Dear Mark

you are right. I focused my feedback on SDS/MSDS. But for some label purposes it does make sense to have a second data record in GHS Labeling VATs.
