Hello Varun,

feel free to take a look at our extensions - http://visualbi.com/DSXTrial.

what you are asking for is a standard feature in all our charts.

HI Varun,

There is one option which rotates the labels in vertical fashion but not the way you are expecting.

Try the option in chart

Format chart --> Category axis--> Orientation --> Vertical Lettering

By default this will be Automatic, but you can change it.

If it is automatic then angle will be taken care based on the data where as if you keep vertical then the data comes

2     2

0     0

0     0

1     2

instead of 2001     2002 for a year dimension

Hi Divya,

Thanks for your reply. but here  we need to go and change everytime. My requirement is to change the chart dynamically

Is that possible with any code?

Thanks,

Could you clarify "rotate chart"?  Because if it is a bar chart I would simply change to a column chart...

Also include some screen shots using the camera icon of how you tried this  - also see

Hi,

If I am not mistaken, IE does not support CSS transform operations on SVG ... and graphs are SVGs.

I would say, for now, it is "impossible" with IE (even if it works very well in Chrome !!).

Opposed to that, you can use the transformations on other components not using SVGs like Crosstables.

Last time I tried (2 months ago) it didn't work.

Several posts tends to that conclusion (I will agree, they're old, but still not resolved, status Active).

Other people would that better than me

Transforms on SVG Elements | CSS-Tricks

Basically, with CSS, your browser can modify the display of the item and move/rotate them (but not only).

The only downside with this approach about IE is CSS transformations are not supported on SVG, bt do with direct attributes on the element itself, which renders it "impossible" in DS.
