Hello Together,
I found many information and documents for the network requirements of the SAP GUI! For Example:
Note 62418 - Network Load of SAPGUI Frontend Communication
Note 679918 - The front-end network time
Note 578118 - Long response times on the SAP GUI
Also the latest "Front-End Network Requirements for SAP Business Solutions" is very interesting for the SAP GUI. But what about ABAP Webdynpro? Are there also some Network requirement or a formula to calculate Bandwidth Requirements for webdynpro?
And what about printing? Are there also some information for the Network sizing?
What about you experience in that case?
Thanks for your help and have a nice day.
Best regards
Marcus
Hi Marcus,
For the printing part, there are no specific set of network requirements, only that your network needs to be stable and reliable in the same way it is needed for other network traffic. See for example the online documentation "Planning the SAP Print Architecture" at http://tinyurl.com/jgtaxob
If you do have network related problems when printing, then of course the network is the responsibility of the customer side, but there are some notes and KBAs which can help with analysis such as 2233302 for example:
For printing with Webdynpro you should also be aware of note 616762:

Hi Marcus,
Note that Web Dynpro uses a different protocol (TCP/IP based), so you are probably looking for information on ICM (actual web server) performance. I would recommend KBA 2149132 as a starting point. SAP note 2007212 (Tuning SAP Web Dispatcher and ICM for high load) is also relevant.
Kind regards,
Cris
