My company has 2 development clients. One client for configuration. One client for unit testing. All configuration and developments should be made in the configuration client, then copy to the unit testing client. Then transport to test and production system.
Same as CATT, I can only record test case in the development-configuration client. I cannot build test case from development-unit testing client or test system or production system. (message : Changes to Repository or cross-client customizing are not permitted)
However, there is NO DATA (no master and transaction data) in the development-configuration client. I cannot record a complete test case.
Would you mind share with me - how CATT normally configured ? The test case recording is done in which client ? THANKS.
I found the solution is very simple :
1. Create the test case in the Configuration Client.
2. On recording the screens, select "Remote" button. Select the RFC Destination for Unit Testing.
3. System will then remote access the Unit Testing client and go via the Transactions in Unit Testing client.
RFC Destination can be maintained via transaction SM59.
