We have a scenario that we are trying to set up in SAP. I wanted to understand if something like this can be done thru config in SAP. We want to evaluate the options and then go for development. Here's the scenario: My client gets an order for Material 'A" and if they do not have it in stock they can repackage 2 other materials (B and C) in different proportions to make 'A". B and C are also FG's sold individually. We only want to do this when we dont have inventory for 'A". If we do maintain sales BOM's can we have them trigger only when the FG does not have inventory? I am not sure about it. Any thoughts on how this can be achieved?
