The host-name was incorrectly assigned in production system profile. we correctly assigned the host name and the issue is solved.

Hello,

This erro means that the R/3 system does not know the http server and the port number assigned to this content repository.

Please try changing the HTTP server in OAC0 and CSADMIN to use the IP address instead to see if this makes a difference.

NIHOST_UNKNOWN means, that the hostname of the content server is not known to your application server. Either the hostname is not entered in the local /etc/hosts directory or is not resolveable through DNS.

David

Dear David,

Changed the host-name to IP, but still getting error. Last week we added port "https" also for front and back-end systems.

Hello,

The error

   Connect Error: NiHostToAddr ......

   error: NIEHOST_UNKNOWN

indicates that the host couldn't reached from system.

You may need to check your network configuration.

David

Hi Prathish,

Please check 1090 port is open/active using "telnet 10.31.65.11 1090". And check Content server is running.

Hi Prathish,

Hi Prathish,

You can check the settings in transaction SICF to ensure that these are defined correctly.

You could also try temporarily changing to use SAPHTTP instead of the HTTP plugin to see if different errors are reported to provide you with more information.

To do this; create the following entry in the SDOKPROF table in SE16:

NAME: USEHTTPPLG
VALUE: OFF

Leave all remaining fields blank and save your changes.

Regards,

David
