Login screen Language

Hi,

Our server Login Screen Language is English, Due to some transports, It was changed to German.

How to change the Login screen Language to English? ASAP

The current language is stored in the field Sy-langu in SAP.

You would need a remotely enabled function module which returns the field sy-langu..

This would give u the default language..

I tried finding for in built FM but wasnt able to find any..

Will still try n let u know or else u can built this customised FM on SAP side n get the required info..

Hello Rama,

Please check the value of profile parameter zcsa/system_language. It should be E for the initial login screen to come in English.

I guess in your case it may be D.

If my assumption is correct then please change the valaue to E and then restart SAP and check once again .

Is this problem with only with a particual PC/Desktop? or this problem with all the users in you compay?

also what are the content of the transport which you have imported? is this transport moved to another server and there is also same problem?

hello Rama,

Please try this thing out. Login into the system.

Then go to transaction SE51.

In report give: SAPMSYST

In screen number give 0020.

Dont do anything else-

Just activate it using CTRL+F9

Repeat this for

report : SAPMSYST

screen number : 0029

After this execute this transaction /$dyn.

Logout and relogin. Please let me know if this worked out.

I checked with other people,

It is related to Developers nothing to do much from BASIS perspective.

May be provided information relevant, i have not tried.

Hi

Go to transaction su01 ,give that particular user u want to customize ur logon then click change....goto defaults and there select the logon language and save the changes.

my question is not for particlar user environment.

When click on say P12 server, we get login screen we need to enter

client

username

password

language

the above info is displayed in German, how to display it in English?

I dont think su3 is right choice.

Select `option` from logon pad. In language select EN.

I preasume that you are talking about language mode at user level. If you want to change your longon language to English..Login to SU01 and edit your user id in Communication field.
