Partner Function disabled after saving

On saving Outbound delivery, Option to add new partner in partner tab gets disabled. The requirement is to add forwarding agent before doing PGI.

The system allows to add partner function before saving. But once saved, unable to add any new partner function.

Jay,

As Kivanc and Jelena have already mentioned, it is possible to add a partner function in the delivery before PGI.

When you say before doing PGI, you need to add a partner function, what is wrong if it comes during creation?  Also what is the business requirement such that during creation, it should not flow?

Outbound Delivery is created by a different team. They do not know the freight forwarder/carrier.

Once the Outbound delivery is created the warehouse guys, picks the good from warehouse and clicks on the PGI button.

The requirement is to add the partner function for freight forwarder/carrier with which they are issuing the goods.

Ideally adding a new partner function should be disabled after doing PGI. What can be the reason for it being disabled before even PGI is done. There should be provision to add- new partner function in change mode.

Is there any constraint to go for Shipment (VT01N) process ?

We are not going through shipment process. As the only requirement is to add the partner function of the carrier/freight forwarder.

Hi Jay,

I just checked in a SAP QA system - you can add/remove partners in a delivery document before PGI. Seems like there has been an enhancement in your system to prevent this, I recommend to check it with a developer.
