Could not connect to the host agent

Hello Experts,

We started configuration of our managed systems yesterday. But we have an issue with SapHost Agent. In smd/AgentAdmin SAP Host Agent we have warning with message Host Agent Version cannot be checked. If we start Agent Log Viewer the message is Could not connect to the host agent, Cannot establish the connection to SAP Host agent webservice. We checked NOTE 1862333 but everything seems all right. Downward you can see Agent Error Monitoring log.

We are running the latest version of Host Agent. Version of our diagnostic agent is 7.10.14.

Thank everyone for help.

Hi

Please can you check in below

SAP Solution Manager Diagnostics (SMD) Agent is not able to connect to SAP Host Agent

Please check the authorizations of /usr/sap/hostctrl and host control folders and assign it to appropriate users/groups as well.

Check the note 1706469 and port if it is opened.

Hello everyone,

we found this message in log "*** ERROR => Connection of channel 0 failed [ServerChanne 67]". So we followed note 1928584, particulary point 2 - The permissions and ownership of the host agent work directory(/usr/sap/hostctrl/work) is wrong.

Hello Jan,

Please check the below points,

1. The SLD Data supplier user authorizations. Please check if it has enough authorizations to write the data in SLD.

2. Is the Diagnostic agent able to connect to Solman system? Please check the logs folder to see if there are any errors.

3. I should hope not, but please check if there are any connectivity issues.

4. Reinstall the Host agent and if required the Diagnostic agent to see if the error still occurs. The user that you use to connect the DAA to Solution Manager should have relevant roles.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Vivek
