User SM_EFWK blocks all Dialog WP

Hi.

We are facing a problem with our soman 7.1 (sps fron nov 2015).

The SM_EFWK holds the DWP with report CL_SQL_CONNECTION=============CP or CL_SQL_RESULT_SET=============CP.

In workcenter the system preparation and basic configuration is green.

The main-note is already updated. In the self diagnosis i see in functions/system reporting:

Background user SM_EFWK : Missing authorizations, check roles

The note 1570399 from this note says that 2 roles have to be updated. We gave the user a sap_all for testing.

But the problem is still there.

No bottleneck in st02 / st06. In st22 we see CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERRORS because of gateway-timeouts..

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Try updating your system kernel to the latest patch. It should resolve the issue.

Cheers,

Vivek

In addition to that can you on the trace for SM_EFWK.

Also please check below notes once.

Thank you for your help.

I read the notes and added the roles. But at the moment we are using sap_all - so it wont help, i guess?

We have the 600er kernel 721, that should be the latest?

Thanks

Hi,

SAP_ALL does not always include all the roles. Some roles will still need to be assigned manually. Please try assigning the roles and see if the error still persists.

Thanks,

Vivek

Hi Dny,

Please check in table E2E_RESOURCES that resource SOLMAN_DIALOG_WORKPROCESSES is not equal to the total number of work processes in the system. It should be a smaller value.

Kind regards,

Daniel.

Hi experts.

Thank you for your help. I changed the roles as suggested.

I think the problem comes from here:

After a systemcopy the systemuser from oracle was wrong in the dbacockpit from solutionmanager for this system. Everytime you want to change something in this system every transaction "freeze". So could it be that this also happens when solman wants to talk to this satellitesystem through SM_EFWK?

Beside this i change the Dialog-WP-Number in the frameworkconfiguration in solman-workcenter.

The only thing whats weird now: Is it correct that the reports from SM_EFWK run up to 4000 / 5000 seconds?

Thank you all in advance

Hi Dny

Please check in SMGW if this user is hung anywhere

Secondly can you check SLG1 error pertaining to this user.

Also have a look at the note 1847293, if it helps.

Thanks

I see some entrys "DIA WP Resource Cap Exceeded" in the logs.

Especially at the beginnig:

24.03.2016 09:20:53 Source RFC: NONE  / Message: Resource allocated successfully  / Counter: 19

24.03.2016 09:20:53 Source RFC: NONE  / Message: DIA WP Resource Cap Exceeded  / Counter: 34

So should i increase SOLMAN_DIALOG_WORKPROCESS or NONE in the configuration?

Hi

Can you check in solman administration of solman workbench in the extractor framework how much resource cap you have applied there, based on that you may need to increase there as well.

Its mainly for SOLMAN_DIALOG_WORKPROCES only. Check below link for more info.

EFWK_TROUBLESHOOTING - Technical Operations - SCN Wiki

Please check note 1322716.

Please check if you may need to extend the cap in table E2E_RESOURCES using SE16.

Thanks

Hello Dny,

Do you see any error messages in SM21?

Thanks
