Dear Experts,
Trying to install db instance in oracle RAC and found the below error message on perform oracle post load activities
I have already checked the control files physically, it's present. But sap installer not able to identify the soft link for the ASM control file and mount it. SAP Installer starts the instance and not able to identify control files later. We can manually Mount and Open the db instance with SID as "SID".
If, we start the instance in mount state & Retry for SAP Installer to Mount, it errors stating Instance number is BUSY.

Regards,
Dear All,
Thanks for your comments.
In my scenario, both nodes are up and running. Owner with wich Oracle software are correct as already 3 DB instances are running & +DATA, +RECO, +FLASH etc are mounted.
Meanwhile I got two point from Oracle installation guide "SAP Databases on Oracle Automatic Storage Management 11g Release 2 Configuration Guidelines for UNIX and Linux Platforms "
Server Parameter File For customers who run their database and Oracle ASM on a single host or a RAC cluster with a shared <OHRDBMS> it is recommended to place the spfile for the database instance under <OHRDBMS>/dbs. Placing the spfile outside Oracle ASM allows much easier handling.
Example: SQL> create spfile='spfileRM1.ora' from pfile='initRM1.ora'; File created. SQL>
Customers who do not run a RAC cluster with a shared file system for <OHRDBMS> or customers who want to place the spfile on Oracle ASM for any other reason can use the following command to create the spfile on Oracle ASM.
Example: create spfile='+DATA/RM1/spfileRM1.ora' from pfile='initRM1.ora'; Please note that 'spfileRM1.ora' is just an alias on Oracle ASM:
Example: Oracle ASMCMD> ls -l Type Redund Striped Sys Name N spfileRM1.ora => +DATA/RM1/PARAMETERFILE/spfile.267.737217857
Although it is recommended that you use 'srvctl' to startup and shutdown your database, it may be necessary to startup and shutdown the database with 'sqlplus'. In this case you need an additional pfile under <OHRDBMS>/dbs which points to the spfile on Oracle ASM.
Example: initRM1.ora: SPFILE=’+DATA/RM1/spfileRM1.ora’
Also "Register the new database and <OHRDBMS> with the GRID stack. "
As I am mid of sapinst, should I have to perform the above mentioned steps.
Kindly advise.

hi try this:- You need startup ASM1 and ASM2 instances on both nodes and use correct service names. then check crs_stat if all services come online try to connect your database

Please check the owner with wich Oracle software has been installed. Also what tool (asmlib, udev) you are using to manage disk devices?

Dear Jituda,
I think the +DATA diskgroup is not mounted.
ORA-15001: diskgroup "DATA" does not exist or is not mounted
You can ask the database team to mount the disk group in asm.

Hi
1. If possible restart the full system and then try again in the same phase.
2. Could you check the Oracle parameters as mention in the SAP Note for error message ".ORA-32004: obsolete or deprecated parameter "
1431798 - Oracle 11.2.0: Database Parameter Settings
3. Check the over all disk free space in Usr & database dirves
