DB13 online backups error

Dear all,

I m unable to take backup of Development Server through db13. Database iS DB2 . I m taking full online Database Backup to Device. But its giving error.

1. Could you share the kernel & dbsl patch release and level?

2.  Refer the SAP KBA for the backup issue 2158234 - Backup taken using the DBA Planning Calendar in transaction DBACOCKPIT finishes with error...

I think kernel level is very low,you have to upgrade the kernel and Dbsl patch and then check the backup.

Hi Jian,

You can upgrade the kernel and DBSL patches as suggested by Sriram.

Also I can see that the backup is failing with SQL2048 error with RC=6

The object being accessed is a table space and either the table space is in such a state that the operation is not allowed or one or more containers of the table space is not available. (LIST TABLESPACES will list the current table space state.) Examples of such states are: quiesced, offline.

Hi,

The error code 6 means.

The table space may be offline. Attempt to determine the underlying problem and correct it. Some examples of problems are:

the filesystem is not mounted, which you can fix by mounting the filesystem then altering the table space switch to online, or table space files have been deleted, which you can fix by performing a restore operation.

Please check db2diag.log file to see which tablespace it is pointing at, you will find tablespace ID in log mentioned as pool id.
