Reference entry is of wrong entry type

Hi IdM experts,

This is a IdM 7.1 sp6 patch 1 system running on MS SQL database.

I found some mx_person entries cannot be saved, i.e. when you click save button, the system does not allow you to save. When you do it on management console with a toIdentity pass, it gives you this error message "Reference entry is of wrong type".   I am able to fix this by calling the function uReconcilePriv(user mskey).

But recently I found some of the business roles cannot be updated either? I can update the description of the role, but not the child privileges. How can I fix this then?  What could be the cause of the issue?

Thanks,

Chenyang

Hi Chenyan,

Can you please check MX_PERSON Entry Type properties and marked Identity entry type.

Hi Jaya,

Thanks for your reply. But the identity entry type has already been set for MX_PERSON entry. I had this problem for both MX_PERSON and MX_ROLE entry types.

Thanks,

Chenyang

Hi Chenyang,

Check the "Relations" tab in entry type MX_PRIVILEGE if MX_ROLE is checked in Allow column and vice versa.

Kind regards,

Jai

Hi Jai,

Yes MX_ROLE is allowed in entry type MX_PRIVILEGE.

Only some of the roles are not able to update child privileges, especially when they are assigned to the users.

Thanks,

Chenyang
