SAP HANA COPY FROM CERTIFIED APPLIANCE TO VMWARE

Dear All,

I have production system on appliance HANA CERTIFIED but DEV  and TEST on VMWARE, the HANA DB and OS have the same version of the appliance DB and OS .

Can I copy an SAP system installed on an appliance certified to my quality instance installed on Vmware(not certified) ?

My SAP version is Netweaver EHP8 on SAP HANA DB 11.

What do you mean by

If I am understanding it correct.you can do any system copy in HANA.

H Luigi,

you want to copy your productive system to your QA system.

You can just do a backup&restore via Cross-SID-recovery. This is the easiest way. But sure, you also can do a homogeneous system copy via SWPM/R3load.

Hi Luigi,

Yes you can install,until you are using for production ,other than production you can run any system,
