I have a issue with my Enterprise Portal 7.0.
To begin with this is the landscape, clustered windows 2012r2 and oracle db, and ofcourse EP 7.0 connected to R/3.
Due to the nature of the client unfortunately I wont be able to provide much logs other than information which I can see. Tks.
So the project is we are migrating from 2003 server to 2012r2 server, other than that nothing is being changed, EP version.
But the problem now is that the EP is very slow, when we looked at the traffic the POST request method is taking very very long. (12sec)
But if the same files are accessed on the same server then it is very fast.
Also over 3 days of troubleshooting found that the theme actually loads faster all gif png and so on. But the iview is the one that is taking long, how to prove that it is a network bottleneck? IF it is in the first place.
Hi Jack.
1. What is the kernel level in Cluster system? and Portal SP level?
2. From the browser you can enable the http trace and check where its getting failed. using "httpwatch" Refer the SAP Note for Httpwatch - 1568456

Hi Jack,
I am listing down the probable options below.
1. Please review your JDK Version and update to the most recent versions with compatibility to your platform.
2. Since you have mentioned that yours having Oracle Database then please consult the below note.
739829 - Central Note for Performance of EP KMC
3. You can also follow the below note for recommended JVM settings.
723909 - Java VM settings for J2EE 6.40/7.0
4. Sometimes the reason may also be the Garbage Collector. For that you can also refer the below links.
5. As a overall performance tuning for EP 7.0 you can also refer the below links as well.
.Hopefully you will some useful information from the above links.
Thanks and Regards
