SAP SRM with Portal or NWBC

Hello Experts,

We are implementing SAP SRM 7.0 EHP 4

Below are my few confusions need your expert opinion with details.

Business Scenarios we are planning to implement are.

1) Shopping Cart with MDM Catalog

2) RFx Bidding with Quotations

3) Contract Creation/Purchase Order

4) Live Auctions

Current System Landscape we have are,

1) SAP SRM Server 7.0 EHP 4 (Bidding Engine and Live Auction )

2) SAP SRM MDM Catalog

Note - No SAP SUS , SAP SLM  and SAP Portal are in landscape for supplier,

As per the standard SAP document, it has suggesting for SAP SRM, SAP Portal is mandatory, but as we are not having portal in the landscape, I understand we can achieve the above functionality through NWBC (Netweaver Business Client).

I have no clue how its going to support all SAP SRM Functionality, as we are planning to do RFx and invite Bidders for Quotations without SUS.

Need an understanding on NWBC which supports SAP SRM functionality with vendor bidding/auctions.

Request you to please share your experience with details, any document link would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Both portal and NWBC are just frameworks to deploy SRM system.
As I know, until SRM713, both of them are supported to intergrate SRM system.
SRM714 is not released for all yet, but I believe you may use NWBC to intergrate SRM without issue.
