Time Estimation for Installing SAP HANA and Migration

Hi Guys,

I have some queries about Hana Installation and Migration,

1. How much time is required for installing SAP HANA (How much time is required)?

2. Hana Migration (From Oracle DB to Hana DB (How much time is required)) ?

For migration  we have below existing landscape is there,

Operating System : Linux

Database & Size : Oracle DB and 2TB DB size

SAP Landscape : ECC6 , BO,BW,SD,MM,PP.

Third party integrated Applications : like SSRS,AX,etc..

Now we are planning to migrate from Oracle DB to HANA DB.Please let me know how much time(Estimation Time) required for above system landscape setup  including Dev,QA and Prod ?

Hi Rameessh,

It depend on various factor ,like what is your current release of source system.

How much customizing done .How many run you want to do before doing production.

And do you want ECC and BW migration together?

It is always good to migrate BW (less critcial than ECC )first and stabilize landscape for BW.

We have done BW on oracle to BW on HANA in ~16 weeks.
