SAPOSCOL not collecting pages in/out information

Since I installed the latest version of the saphostagent 21 patch 11 (721_REL)

The data related to the memory Pages paged in and Pages paged out aren't collected. I got 0 zero values since the upgrade.

Before the update of the saphostagent I was using the agent 720_REL patch 207 and the data were collected and reported.

Do you know if it is a known issue?

Did you experience this before and how did you solve it?

Thanks for your support.

David Etienne

Hello David

please check the saposcol as described in the SAP note:

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2179983

Please do not kill any processes of saposcol or saphostagent, but shutdown them in the correct way and cleanup the shared memory as described in the note above. If nothing will help, please collect saposcol trace as described in this note and attach it to the incident if you will create one.are

Please ensure also, if the SAPHOSTAGENT (and saposcol) was started under the correct user. If some values are not collected by saposcol, then often the user of saposcol does not have enough authorizations.

Alwina

Dear all,

Thanks all for your support and feedback.

I followed the note 2179983 and all checks are successful but unfortunately I still have no data collected for the Pages In/Out

The Saphostagent and thus the saposcol are started from the root user. Is it correct?

I also followed the note 1627564 - SAPOSCOL: Clearing Shared Memory and Updating Saposcol but it didn't help.

In the meantime I've opened an incident with SAP, I'll keep you posted when they'll come back to me.

Hi Anita,

Thanks for your feedback.

I just tiried to downgrade to the patch 10 but the issue is the same unfortunately.

I'll raise a message to SAP for information on this topic.

David

Hello David,

Is it possible to downgrade to Patch 10 and see if the issue persists?

Patch 11 was released just a couple of weeks back so you can also raise this issue with SAP and see what they have to say.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Anita
