Modify ABAP Identity Throwing error

Hi experts,

we are facing strange issue. Modify ABAP Identity throwing below error random times.

Can you please suggest how to fix this, already some one encountered and resolved.

Hi,

SAP recommended to upgrade patch, the latest Runtime patch for 7.2 SP9 is 12 to fix this issue.

I will update when this issue is fixed.

Hello Jaya,

Did you check your sapmsg.ini file? Is it present at C:\Windows location?

If file is present then you have to change the values inside the file.

The correct values are:

SID=hostname message server

Hi,

Thought creating one may resolve the issue, I was wondering why would IDM need that file at all. This file was never mentioned in any document and I checked all 5 servers that I have, and none has SAPMSG.INI file in any of the drive but I don't get this error.

When this happens, can you check the DSE log file for that task. It might have more information than job log.

As Jai already confirmed, I also checked and found SAP IDM 7.2 SP9 doesn't need such file. Please Check your DSE log file.
