SAP - Adobe Flex

Hi,

Does somebody know how SAP is positioning Adobe Flex Builder for UI design (next to all the existing tools like BSP, ABAP, Web Dynpro etc.)? Will Flex Builder become an important piece of technology in the SAP world like we already see happening more and more with e.g. Adobe interactive forms?

Hi Angelique,

I think abobe flex will be very important in the future because it's part of VC and flex server 2.0 should be in the next VC release (information from SAP in this forum). Another point is that the WAD will disappear in the next 2-3 years and VC displace instead of WAD (as I remeber the roadmap of SAP last year in august).

Another point ist that you can also build portal applications with flex without VC.

WAD stand for Web Application Designer, which is part of the Business Explorer Suite of the SAP BI.
