HCI user guide for setting up the connectivity

HI,

Please share some link or guide which can help us in learning about the HCI configuration.

Also, is there any dummy server where we can practice for setting up the connection with HCI and IBP.

Thanks,

Rohit Arora

Hello

Your IBP is hosted(?) and so that connectivity will be handled by the SAP team.

If you like to learn how the connectivity is performed to your source onpremise system, maybe this HCI documentation link SAP Data Services Agent Guide can helps.

Hi Yue,

Yes, we are using IBP (S&OP) on HANA, as I am in a learning phase so trying to collect the knowledge about the setting up connection between non - sap systems to IBP using the HCI.Will be good if you can share some document related to that.

Also, is there any dummy server available where we can try and test the configuration.

Thanks,

Hi Arora,

If you are already an IBP customer, you should have access to HCI as HCI licence is included in IBP's. If the HCI tenant has not yet been set up, you should contact the SAP cloud operation team.

Then, there are few steps you would need to follow to get the connection between on premise and IBP up and running. You can also refer to this document:

In short,

1. Install and configure the HCI agent.

2. For SAP servers, the agent uses the /BODS/ functions which you might need to install if they are not already available.

Then, prepare the SAP applications by setting up the authorization object and the RFC connections. More info can be find under chapter 5.

3. Create SAP business suite application datastores in HCI following the guidance from the application help:

Hope this helps,
