Gurus,
I am trying to work with DMS and am trying to understand and configure at the same time. I have a situation where document has several parts and each part has an issue which may get revised periodically.
for example single drawing with a matrix of (tabulated) product,
My requirement is:
- these docs need to be managed via DMS.
- they need to be on file
- they need to be referred to or may be referenced during prdn.,
- they have revisions which need to be managed.
My question is:
How can this be managed in the simplest and most efficient way without major piece of configuration / enhancement with DMS.
Thank you
Hi,
Please check the DMS functionality Then you can able to map your requirement.
There are versions, DIR attachments, document structure, document part. etc . you may need to understand these fucn in deep and implement as per your business needs.

Hi, You can use one DIR with one or more originals, and manage it only with one DIR. If you have to manage it individually, one by one, you can create one DIR for each original, and group it using: Document Structure - Bill of Document concept. Superior Document concept. If i understand what you want, you can use the use the version (DOKVR) of DMS for do that.
You change the version has you need revision.
