SAP dispatcher is stopped

Dear Team,

We are facing issue while starting the application server of Gateway server.

Dispather(disp+work) is stopped.

Our environment:

OS:WINDOWS 2008

KERNEL 740

Mark other 10.120.11.27 values as comment #.

Finally issue is resolved,pls find the RCA details below:

I have checked below things on OS level.

• The servers is in workgroup
• Did not found any abgplanet.com FQDN in “Hosts” file
• Output of “nslookup” command is “'UTCLBWNWGS.adityabirla.com”
• Couldn’t found any value 'UTCLBWNWGS.abgplanet.com' in OS registry but “abgplanet.abg.com” entry is available

RCA-

• The server is in work group so Primary DNS name was not set that is why OS couldn’t able to search Primary DNS Name, it was picking “abgplanet.com” domain name from “DNS Suffix Search List”.
• ABG Service Desk have installed SCCM client for patch deployment so they have set “abgplanet.abg.com” domain name in the client itself because of that “abgplanet.com” domain entry was exist in “DNS Suffix Search List”.

Solution-

• Set value in “DNS Suffix Search List” as “adityabirla.com” in server Group Policy.

Hi Gaurav,

Our kernel version is 741 and patch level 300.

As recommended in SAP NOTE NO:1931675 and 2050408 , added parameters in instance porfile

rdisp/request_queue_mc_address_base = 10.120.11.27

rdisp/request_queue_mc_address_offset = 00

rdisp/queue/use_events_for_dispatching = on

Still same issue .

Could you check the host name resolutions, DNS hostname & IP lookup

Refer the SAP Notes

129997 - Hostname and IP address lookup

124562 - Hostname resolution problems (DNS timeouts)

1.  Have you restart the full system and then check the SAP system startup..

2. Are you using any external gateway system?

The hostname to resolve is UTCLBWNWGS.abgplanet.com, but in your tests you resolve UTCLBWNWGS.adityabirla.com. They have different domains.
