Hello everybody,
is there any possibility to execute SQL queries in SAP BW 7.02 on DB2 for i5/OS? SQL queries to access DSO data for example.
I read about a "SQL command line" in transaction "DBACOCKPIT" in the "Diagnostics" section and about a "SQL Command Editor" in the "Performance" section, but I can't see them there. Is it not possible with a DB2 or not in 7.02 but in higher versions? Is a SQL editor available somewhere else in SAP BW?
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Florian Bertsch
Hi Florian,
the tree categories (Performance, Space, Diagnostics, etc) within transaction DBA Cockpit are very similar from datatabase platform to database platform. However, the specific screens within the categories are platform dependant.
There is at the moment no option integrated within the DBA Cockpit for DB2 on IBM i that would allow you to execute an SQL statement.
However, if you want, you can give a try to the report RSDU_EXEC_SQL.
Best regards
Edgardo
