How to use the history option of views

Can you tell me how to use the history option of views?

Hello Ranjith,

the history option for information views is used in combination with column history tables. If you use a column history table as datasource you can enable that option and define an input parameter which is used to define what history data has to be shown.

Hi Ranjith,

You can use query SELECT * FROM "_SYS_REPO"."OBJECT_TEXT_HISTORY" where object_name = '<object name>'

Hi Ranjith,

Users can enable History to enable the information views to support time travel queries which helps to keep track of hisotical or past state of data.

Date/TimeStamp Input parameter can be used as history input parameter to filter data at run time based on timestamp provided.

Hi Ranjith,

History shows version management (lifecycle management)  of that particular view with details as Version number, Activated By, Activation Date and Last Activated By as shown below
