Configuration of ECC cluster entry on MAC OS

Hello,

We need to configure ECC cluster as a group connection type for MAC OS i.e. for load balancing.

As a workaround, we currently have configured it like below : (Each Line item is a separate entry for Server)

conn=/H/172.24.7.153/S/3201
conn=/H/172.24.7.152/S/3202
conn=/H/172.24.7.154/S/3203
conn=/H/172.24.7.155/S/3204
conn=/H/172.24.7.156/S/3202

This will list 5 Separate Servers in SAP GUI 740 of MAC OS.

Hence when any server goes down, user has to click on another entry for logging in however, we need one single entry for load balancing in SAP GUI so that user does not need to click on another entry if at all any cluster node is unavailable.

Please let me know if any one has configured the same and the step to be performed.

Hello Laxmi,

you might want to have a look at the manual, chapter 5.3.1 Connection Strings, section "Message Servers and Logon Groups". Also SAP UI Landscape Configuration Guide (for SAP G... | SCN is worth to look at. Latter describes also a way to convert the logon configuration from SAP GUI for Windows to be used in SAP GUI for Java.

Best regards
