I have some doubts about transport studio.

1) I have one sc call siga2007, It contain the customers developments

e.g A,B,C.

2) I need transport a specific development or change, e.g. D.

3) the SC Siga2007 Contain developments. e.g. A, B,C., when i press

the assembly option. The system take SC Siga2007 and re-create a SC

with A, B, C, D?.

and in option approve and then production, the system take all

developments and update SC Siga2007?

4) the system only take the change or new development and transport

it ?.

I need solve this doubt, because if the case is option 3) i have a

problem, because i do not want transport some changes in developments,

i need only tranport the change of one development in this case D .

If posible isolate only the change to transport it?

Best regards

Hello Angel,

When you refer to A, B, C , D  I assume you mean Development Components (DCs).Or perhaps you meant "changes" related not necessarily to 4 separate DCs, it was not clear from your description.

Anyway, what you need to know that Assembly generates the SC from everything that is present in the cons/active workspace, so if you don't want something to be present in the generated SC then you need to remove it from the cons. Now the thing is you cannot just delete things so easily from cons and then redo the assembly. Basically you need to do the change in dev (even if you delete something, and even if it is a complete DC) and then transport through the development cylce, i.e. checkin, activate, release, import to cons and then assemble again.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Ervin,

I have a Question.

In production, I have : A,B, C D,E,F....Dc.

if i remove changes in consolidation as you suggest, A,B,C, and only keep the change in D, How SC XXXX in Production Will be affected?

Best regards

Angel

Hi

the problema is :

1) Many activities for developments a, b, c were released

2) these activities are still in the quality environment.(Consolidation)

3) A new change in the development D was made

4) I need transport only the change in made for developmend D.

5) Next step, assembly option was executed one time.

6) Assembly option Update Software Component XXXXX,

7) I think this action will transport all changes in a, b, c, d,

Because select activities in this step is not abailable.

😎 I need transport only the change in D. or all activities created in

NWDS for D development.

9)If posible isolate only the change to transport ?

10) Assembly option, Update all SC XXXX always?

Yes. So either do not even import the change to cons, or if it is already there, then get rid of it as I wrote about. Point is what is in cons, will be in the assembled sca as well.

assume ABCD means DC,

when you assemble, the sc will contains all ABCD DC,

regarding the change, only the one imported to the consolidation will be included in the SCA.

if you want to transport D only, just import D to the consolidation, leave the others in the queue.
