Hi guys,
As posted in other threads i recently did a CU & UC from ECC 6.0 to 6.0 EHP7. Everything went smoothly but when users log into spanish a lot of texts are missing, for example: RFC descriptions text, matchcodes from SE38 and other transactions appear empty.
I did a language supplementation a few minutes ago and changed second language to english but nothing seems to work.
I just checked original system (the one i made the export to install the sandbox for the CU & UC) and it has the exact same behaviour.
Any tips or hints will be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Martim.
Hi Martim,
not sure if this will bring you further, but maybe you have a look at:
https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000405242014E/Translation_Config_v1.pdf
If this does not help, then you probably need to post a screen shot ...
Best regards,
Nils Buerckel

Really appreciate your inputs, thanks.
Yeah, the issue happens in all clients, 000, 001 (i just supplemented 001) and working client.
One of the issues is this, no results on the program field in SE38 while logged in in spanish language.
Second issue, when doing a remote comparison of 2 programs, it doesn't show me all available RFCs, just the ones whose description appers logged in spanish the rest just doesn't show up.
Third issue, while in SM59, RFC descriptions do not show while logged in spanish.
There's something curious, i noticed the original systems have spanish installed but it has never been supplemented (2nd and 3rd issue happen also in original systems).
I will take a further look on the notes but the tool came out OK (Everything green and no warnings or errors)
Thanks!
BRs,
Martim.
Hi again,
I used Tx LXE_MASTER to see if there were any proposal pools and there was none, although LXE* tables have entries, they're prior to the customer first upgrade (4.7 to ECC 6.0) and are 11 years old.
So i guess a translation issue is out of the equation.
I'll keep looking at the rest of the notes.
Thanks.

Martim.
Hi,
Have you executed the following step for Spanish language:
1. Import the language part of Support Packages as follows:
SMLT > single click in the language to select it > Language >
> Special Actions > Import Support Packages >
> select all the Support Packages with the red light
> click the 'Go to next screen' (F6) icon
> click the 'Go to next screen' (F6) icon
> Import Language Data
2. Run the supplementation with English or German in ALL clients,
starting with CLIENT 000 and then the other clients;
3. Now you must run the RSLANG20 report for all the languages
selecting all the options (do not forget to set the force mode ON)
and, after that, reset the CUA buffers and the dynpro buffers via
writing /$CUA and /$DYN in the OK-Code field of each application
server as per note 110910.

Aidan

Hi Aidan,
Yeah, after the CU & UC i went to SMLT, there were no red lights, so just in case i made the supplementation of spanish with english on both 000 and working client. then ran the RSLANG20 and reset both CUA and dynpro buffers with no avail.
Then after doing this i went into the original system to see if this was due to the process but i found out this was an already existing condition on the "old" non-unicode system.
Any other hints?
Kind regards,
Martim.
Hi,
SAP has released a new tool that will allow you to analyse your
Language issues easily, you will find further information on this tool
in the following SAP Knowledge base Article:
2145047 - Supportability Tool for Language Problems;
Please check the steps below regarding the language installation and make sure they are followed:
1. Import the affected language using transaction SMLT.
(As you have performed an upgrade please check if the language package is imported correctly. Please refer to note 330104 which contains a list of all language
packages and compare them with the packages in SMLT).
Regards,
Aidan
Thanks for the input, it really helped me. I did everything, checks come out OK. I even updated D, E and S languages with the new packages for 740 and updated from SP until everything was green.
I supplemented clients 000 and working client, should i also supplement 001?
Still issue happens within SE38, SM59 and any other transaction where values from match code are shown for selection without actually pressing the match code button. Funny thing this doesn't happen within ZLANTOOL.
I could provide a screenshot in case i am confusing things a bit.
Kind regards,
Martim.
Hi,
Is the issue reproducible in all clients(000, working client and 001)?
It would be helpful to have screenshot of the current issue.
It is recommended to run the supplementation with English or German in ALL clients,
starting with CLIENT 000 and then the other clients;
