Dear All,
The SAP eductaion partners are saying that "online training program cum certfication" is going to phase out from this month end March 2016.
Is it true?
Regards,
Rajan U
Hello Rajan,
somewhy I see in your description 'stars' instead of an actual certification name:
"training program *** certification".
Does "***" denote different kind of certifications, or is it the result of a moderation?
Best regards,
Laszlo

Hello Rajan,
thanks for the info - actually, SAP wants to ensure that SAP Certifications reflect the knowledge of a recent SAP software version.
This means that all kinds of certifications will "expire" after a while if a lot of time and/or a lot of software versions have appeared in the meantime.
http://scn.sap.com/people/robphillips has put it very good in an earlier Discussion:
Rob Phillips wrote:
The reason SAP retire exams is because SAP need to ensure that all valid certifications reflect that an individual has up-to-date knowledge and skills. Exams which no longer test current knowledge will expire/retire regularly. This doesn't mean that you no longer have this certificate or qualification - you will always have that certificate - but it means that the certification is no longer considered to be on a valid, up to date release of that software.
There was a discussion about this in http://scn.sap.com/thread/3773278. I know it is a long one, but if you have time, read the entire thing, because it clarifies a few things about "expiring" certifications.
Best regards,
Laszlo
