I have tried to upgrade support pack in solman but getting error like this.

Hi Rajesh,

Kindly check the environemnt variable DBMS_TYPE and dbms/type at OS and instance profile respectively.

Also paste the trans.log after executing R3trans -d and also paste the log file of SUM

Also let us know the database and Operating system.

Hi Ashutosh,

I have checked the environmental variable DBMS_TYPE is not there and my os is windows 2012 r2 standard and database type is sybase ASE 15.7.

Hi Rajesh,

Maintain the Environment variable DBMS_TYPE = SYB at OS level.

You can also maintain the dbms/type = SYB in the default profile.

Hi Ashutosh,

I have the dbms_type- syb at OS level and already there dbms/type = SYB in default profile. Restart is needed or not. Without restart it shows same error only.

Hi Rajesh,

Kindly follow the below steps

- Stop the SUM tool

- Logoff from the system

- Login Again

- Start the SUM tool.
